Taiyuan focuses on tech and R&D, collaborating with CRIDCI and Tianjin University's School of Chemical Engineering and Technology. A 12 million RMB investment established a 1,000 m² R&D lab. Taiyuan plans to establish a provincial-level R&D center by 2025, focusing on development and application of surfactant products. Additionally, a pilot base for multifunctional surfactants will be set to support the industrialization of new products.

Taiyuan engages experts like Li Qiuxiao (Director of CRIDCI), Prof. Wang Fumin (Tianjin University), and Zhang Xiaobin as consultants for R&D and equipment upgrades. Team members in positions related to product development and catalyst preparation are required to have a master degree or above in the relevant fields.
