It also serves as a bactericide, effectively eliminating various bacteria, including tuberculosis bacteria.
It is utilized as a softener and antistatic agent for fibers and fabrics, a calcium soap dispersant, a bactericidal and disinfectant detergent, a gel emulsifier in the rubber industry, a shrink-proofing agent for rabbit and sheep wool, and a fire extinguishing foam agent.
